Differences and Similarities

The movie, book, and the interview are similar because they all focus on Morrie and his thoughts on life. I feel that the movie is taking a little bit away from Morrie by focusing a little bit too much on Mitch and his personal troubles. I think that in both the book and the interview it's all about Morrie and his last class. I personally like the book better than the movie, but the movie gives us a visual perception of Morrie's last lessons. And after seeing the real Morrie in the interview I don't think the actor portraying him did a very good job. I believe that the interview and the book showed who Morrie really was; the movie though not so much.

The movie did put in some parts directly from the book like when Morrie said he was afraid that soon he "would not be able to wipe his own ass". If they would've focused a bit more on Morrie I think the movie would've done better.

  1. Cool...Bret made a second blog. Good points. I don't like the movie that much. They could've found a different and better Morrie.

  2. Yeah I didn't really like the Morrie in the movie either. And like Kyle said, with all that money Oprah has and due to the fact that she's gonna be the next Illinois Senator, she could have spent some money to get some decent actors.
