Differences and Similarities

The movie, book, and the interview are similar because they all focus on Morrie and his thoughts on life. I feel that the movie is taking a little bit away from Morrie by focusing a little bit too much on Mitch and his personal troubles. I think that in both the book and the interview it's all about Morrie and his last class. I personally like the book better than the movie, but the movie gives us a visual perception of Morrie's last lessons. And after seeing the real Morrie in the interview I don't think the actor portraying him did a very good job. I believe that the interview and the book showed who Morrie really was; the movie though not so much.

The movie did put in some parts directly from the book like when Morrie said he was afraid that soon he "would not be able to wipe his own ass". If they would've focused a bit more on Morrie I think the movie would've done better.

Morrie

I think that what Morrie went through towards the end of his life must have been extremely difficult. A lot of people would give up once they were diagnosed with Lou Gehrig's disease. Morrie decided he wanted to enjoy his last days on earth and to make the most of them. I believe that it takes a special person to do what he did.

Everyone want's to get the most out of life before the they pass away. What Morrie did was an inspiration to everyone. I believe that if we can get the most out of our lives than hopefully, we can finish our lives with no regrets and no disappointments.
